We're up and running at Ravens HQ!

The Ravens Theatre Company has been beavering away setting up as a not-for-profit Incorporated Association with the capable guidance of an arts law whiz.

A heartfelt thank you to the Community Bank Maldon & District for awarding us a Community Grant to support these legal costs.

Fundraising is a key part of building a sustainable company, and we 'll be sharing more information soon about how you can support us. If you're interested in being involved financially, please reach out.

We Need You!

As well as coming to our two shows this year (yes, two!), we'd love to invite you into the fold.

We're seeking people who can donate a few hours a week to help with:

  • Administration
  • Fundraising
  • Marketing & communications

We're also looking for:

  • A producer
  • A stage manager
  • Front of house crew

Is this you — or someone you know? Please spread the word and get in touch. We'd love to meet you and have a chat about being part of this exciting new venture in the heart of Castlemaine.

Dr. Bonny Cassidy and Shelley Krape at the Business in Practice Series panel

Dr. Bonny Cassidy & Shelley Krape (The Ravens Theatre Company)

Shelley at the Business in Practice Series

Last Wednesday, as part of the Business in Practice Series – Fundamentals for Creative Entrepreneurs, Shelley joined the panel From Idea to Actuality: Creative Enterprise in Practice.

She appeared alongside local legends Fred Farquhar and Dr. Bonny Cassidy, with the discussion moderated by ArtsHub editor Richard Watts OAM. It was a thoughtful and energising conversation about the realities of building and sustaining creative enterprises.

Shelley spoke about the journey of establishing The Ravens Theatre Company from the ground up — the importance of strong foundations, the challenges faced so far, and what's next.

A big thank you to Mount Alexander Shire Council for inviting us to be part of such an inspiring series.
